Door Number 3 is always on the prowl for creative interns for our Austin office. Candidate should be enrolled in a creative sequence or portfolio program. Must be outgoing, personable, willing to learn and intensely dedicated to the craft. A willingness to tackle all jobs – big or small – is key. All opportunities will be on real client work. Timing: Our internship opportunities coincide with the school semesters:
Spring internship: Submit by December 15
Summer internship: Submit by April 15
Fall internship: Submit by July 30
Must have a solid working knowledge of Creative Suite, Mac OS, scanners and digital cameras. An eye for design and typography is a plus. Creative interns work within the creative department under the direct supervision of our Creative Director and team of art directors. Projects will include (but not be limited to): design, concepting, file management, print production and presentation preparation. Candidates must possess sharp writing skills in a variety of different voices. Must be able to craft smart headlines, body copy, blogs and anything that calls for clear, concise and creative writing. Writer interns report to the Creative Director and copywriter. Must be able to partner and concept with art directors and designers. In addition to being a talented writer, the ability to juggle multiple projects is critical.
