Door Number 3 Tapped To Handle Advertising For Stratus Properties/W Hotel & Residences In Austin

Stratus Properties (NASDAQ: STRS), the developer of the new W Hotel & Residences in downtown Austin, has selected Door Number 3 to handle branding and advertising for the new hotel and condominiums.

Door Number 3 will develop messaging, print ads, collateral, direct mail, environmental and sales graphics, and a website for the downtown property that will be adjacent to the Austin City Hall and overlooks Town Lake. The W Hotel & Residences are part of a large, mixed-use project, “Block 21,” that Stratus is developing. A new home for the renowned Austin City Limits studio, along with Austin Children’s Museum and a number of retail outlets are included in the project. Groundbreaking for the Block 21 project is scheduled for the fall of this year.

“It was important to us to be able to tap into Austin’s nationally recognized creative community and Door Number 3 truly impressed us,” said Beau Armstrong, Chairman & CEO of Stratus Properties Inc. “They’re a welcome addition to our team.”

For the growing number of people who desire a downtown living experience, the W Hotel & Residences will offer an unprecedented level of luxury along with the active lifestyle Austin is known for. The W Hotels’ world renowned “Whenever, Whatever” service will be available to all residents, including use of downtown’s best fitness facility, Wís concierge and room services, restaurants and access to Bliss Spa.

Stratus plans to make Block 21 a model for environmentally sustainable design. The project is expected to secure the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED Platinum certification, putting it among the first mixed-use developments built to this extraordinary environmental standard anywhere in the world. LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is the certification system developed by the U.S. Green Building Council and is the preeminent measurement for design, construction, and operation of high performance green buildings.
