Door Number 3 Wins Dallas/Fort Worth Tourism Account

Door Number 3, an Austin-based full-service advertising agency, announced that they, in partnership with Dallas communications strategy firm, The LeMaster Group, won branding and advertising duties for the Dallas/Fort Worth Area Tourism Council (DFWATC) following a formal agency review. The council is a regional marketing association charged with promoting tourism for the entire area.

DFWATC officials said Door Number 3 and The LeMaster Group, can deliver an “insider’s approach with an outsider’s perspective.” Jim Brothers, Chair of the Dallas/Fort Worth Area Tourism Council, said, “We were really impressed by their blend of strategic thinking and creative ideas. Their presentations delivered a room full of nodding heads.”

“Our challenge is to make a very large and diverse region of the country feel personalized and accessible,” said Door Number 3 Creative Director Prentice Howe. “Every piece of creative thinking we presented was built around this core strategy.”

“The web will be a key component of our recommended media mix,” said Door Number 3 president M.P. Mueller. “Travelers want to make easy choices that produce memorable experiences.”

Jay Burress, of the Dallas Convention and Visitors Bureau, chairs the marketing committee for the DFWATC. He said a refocused regional campaign will allow for a “collaborative effort that loses the area’s geographic boundaries and focuses on all of North Texas.”
