New Hires!

We're thrilled to add three new hires to the DN3 team.

Mark (left) and Victor (right) were planning to use this pic for the cover of their new smooth jazz album but graciously donated it to the agency for promotional purposes instead. Welcome, guys!

Meet Mark, Senior Copywriter

We’re excited to announce the return of Mark Killian to Door Number 3. Mark first joined the agency after graduating from The Creative Circus in 2010. In the time that followed, he wrote award-winning ads, convinced everyone within earshot that Roger Federer is the finest athlete to walk the earth, out-paced all of East Austin in green tea consumption and – most importantly – met his future wife, Allison.

Mark went on to work at Sanders\Wingo, Mutual Mobile and Somnio Solutions where he honed his skills on accounts such as AT&T, IBM, Dell, El Paso Electric and Run for the Water. He returns to Door Number 3 as Senior Copywriter, prepared to tackle the written word across a variety of clients and mediums. We’re thrilled to have Mark (and Allison) re-join our growing family.

Meet Victor, Project Coordinator

We’re pleased to announced Victor De Paulo is graduating from part-time Intern to full-time Project Coordinator. He also just graduated from UT, where he majored in advertising, dabbled in photography and spent his nights and weekends crowd surfing. Congrats, Victor!

Meet Stephanie, Graphic Designer

Steph is a Mexico City native who biked all the way to Austin to study advertising at the University of Texas. She didn't really bike all the way to Austin, but she could have, as she proved by partaking in the Texas 4000: a 70-day bike ride from Texas to Alaska to raise money for cancer research. Impressed? Just wait till you see what she can do with design software! Long story short, Steph is awesome. Or as they say in Mexico City, ¡Órale!

P. Howe, Guest Columnist, Austin Business Journal : Get Ready to Fail

I was recently talking to a new business prospect who proudly said, “What really makes us unique is that we offer something for everyone.” To most, these aren’t fighting words, but to a marketer who specializes in helping brands rise to the challenge, it’s the kind of declaration that makes me want to flip over the table.

Centennial Bank: Ambition, cultivated

Centennial Bank: Ambition, cultivated

After 80 years of serving customers in the Texas South Plains and Hill Country, challenger brand Centennial BANK needed room to grow. Hindered by their agriculture banking roots and their logo from another time and place, the leadership team at the bank knew that after generations of focusing on their customers’ businesses, it was time to focus on their own.

Door Number 3 created more than just a new logo, we wrote a whole new brand story. We look forward to sharing the entire campaign soon.
