But, how? We decided the best way to champion this momentous occasion was through an engaging event that brought our marketing campaigns to life while introducing tomorrow’s professionals to the exciting careers that can be achieved by attending a four-year university. Like new parents armed with an arsenal of Pinterest boards, we put our heads together and planned a party that would make every other college savings plan in the country jealous.

Like any 10-year-old, the Texas Tuition Promise Fund wanted their party to be fun, interactive and full of friends. They also wanted a theme that could set the tone for the day while celebrating the thousands of young Texans they’ve helped prepare for a brighter future. It was a tough assignment, until the answer became obvious: let’s throw a career fair — for kids. With hands-on activities like a petting zoo, build-your-own slime lab, race-car assembly station and mobile planetarium, hundreds of wide-eyed young Austinites took their first steps toward becoming tomorrow’s veterinarians, chemists, engineers and astronauts. All while their parents learned more about saving for their college educations.
