Door Number 3, a 17-year old indie advertising agency located in open and bright East Austin offices, is seeking a Creative Director (Writer or Art Director background) to lead the development of creative for integrated marketing campaigns and client brand initiatives. The Creative Director will be responsible for leading all ideation and creative development, while driving collaboration with a cross-functional team of graphic designers, art directors, photographers, directors, producers and developers. We are looking for a team leader who can balance excellent creative work with targeted, results-focused thinking and innovative uses of technology. This person will also take a lead role in new agency pitches and client presentations.


Requirements:
• 7+ years agency experience in a senior creative role (Creative Director, ECD, or creative roles of increasing responsibility, including Associate Creative Director)
• Strong portfolio showing proven experience in developing integrated campaigns that create ROI for clients
• Must have excellent managerial skills and the ability to lead work from an award-winning creative team
• Ability to prioritize and delegate creative projects to best-suited team members or outside vendors
• Must have a strong aesthetic, design, creative and business sense
• Strong knowledge of both art direction and copywriting, conceptual and strategic-thinking skills
• Comfortable in all media: print, outdoor, web, social, website development, TV/broadcast, radio
• Strong knowledge of interactive design, website development, email marketing and online advertising
• Thrive working in a fast-paced environment without compromising quality of work
• Art Director Canditdates should have Strong knowledge of Adobe CS5 – InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
• Exceptional presentation skills with both written and verbal communication skills
• Must be extremely organized (both professionally and digitally)
• The ability to assist Door Number 3’s business development efforts by scoping out and putting pricing to jobs
• Strong conceptual thinking – visual, written and interactive
• Strong leadership skills with ability to lead, motivate and mentor a creative team
• Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously from concept through completion
• Be very familiar with press-ready files, proofing and producing quality work in short timelines
• Big brand experience a plus

Responsibilities:


• Lead creative on new projects and the production of existing projects
• Work with executive team and account service to ensure the client’s needs are being met, creative goals are on track and the strategies are being implemented properly
• Formulate and design creative concepts that achieve specific marketing or business outcomes


• Recommend, plan and manage resources required to see creative concepts through client delivery
• Creatively collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams inside and outside the agency


• Serve as a digital creative authority within the agency
